Standard EN SampleCopper, lead and zinc sulfide concentrates - Determination of transportable moisture limits - Flow-table method
Also Known As:
The ISO 12742:2020 standard was adopted by Australia as AS ISO 12742:2021. For calculating the transportable moisture limit (TML) of concentrates of copper, lead, and zinc sulfide, it defines a flow-table approach. The TML is the maximum moisture level at which these concentrates could liquefy during transit, which could be hazardous.
Concentrates that have a mass fraction of 10% to 80% lead, 10% to 65% zinc, or 10% to 55% copper are subject to this criterion. It offers instructions for calculating the TML values in the mass fraction range of 3% to 28%. The standard's flow-table method offers a quantitative way to determine the moisture level at which certain concentrates become flowable, enabling the use of proper handling and transportation techniques.
