Two techniques are provided by the ISO 619:1981 standard for figuring out how much chromium is in manganese ores.
The first method is appropriate for manganese ores with chromium levels less than 0.1% (m/m), whereas the second method is made for ores with chromium contents higher than 0.1% (m/m). The procedures and methods for accurately implementing these methods are laid out in the standard.
The previous edition of the standard, known as ISO 619-1975, is superseded by this second edition. It is advised to consult ISO 4297 in conjunction with this standard when further information or extra direction is needed.
